Campaign: Protect Health and Vulnerable People

Breastmilk for babies (and toddlers)

My suggestion is to work towards all babies being breastfed from the start. Breastfeeding is more economical and environmental than formula feeding. There are also scores of studies that are still documenting the long term health (and social) benefits of breastfeeding.

Enforced source reduction and recycling for business and industrial

Mandate a percentage of source reduction and recycling for all industrial and commercial businesses; reward those who demonstrate increased activity in both and fine those who do not. Drop textbooks completely from K thru college. Give every child their own laptop, like the laptops from One Laptop Per Child (http://laptop.org) and use cloud computing & the internet. They could be Ipads, laptops, netbooks - anything that they can access the internest with.
