31 states currently recycle prescription drugs and save a ton of money. With today's technology there is no reason to collect State staff in a building just to get the job done. Many jobs can be done from anywhere, I suggest you require agencies (that do not need all staff to meet with the public) to send 50% of their staff home to work full time. Implement Results Oriented Work Environment (ROWE) and shut down state owned/leased buildings. The savings could be in the millions.
I suggest we end PERS 2 for any new state employees. Simply match a certain percentage of a state employees contribution to their retirement fund (403B), like most private businesses do.
