Change to Fire Code: Saves Money! Does not impact safety.

Current fire-code requires that larger buildings have fire-alarms with redundant phone-lines for fire-alarm monitoring. Each phone-line costs approx $50 per month. Phone-line redundancy is not needed. Duplicate phone lines go from the same junction box, through the *same* cable, to the same phone-switch. If one phone-line is damaged, both are! State prisons

Close a state prison, or two. Reduce total prisoners statewide. Release non violent offenders - who are not a threat to society, especially those who are incarcerated for simple drug possession. Change sentencing laws for simple drug possession.

Stop prosecuting all victimless crimes. Prostitution, pot, etc. All these laws are based on the so-called moral majority (who are neither.) Stop spending our tax money to lock people up for having sex or getting the same buzz they get from a state store selling spirits!

By getting the proper information out to the general public, we would drive licensing income and indirectly the legitimate sales of weapons/ammo/accessories to law abiding citizens. ...more »

Bike Lanes

I would suggest that we require a license to utilize our many bike lanes. The bicylist would be required to wear the proper helmet and reflective gear just like a motorcyclist. A yearly $25 license and fines for non compliance.
