Do not require a "prevailing wage" for bidders of government projects. Stop catering to labor unions. This artificially inflates the price of projects up to 3 times. Currently whenever an individual is receiving unemployment payments they receive a weekly statement basically informing them of how much money was deposited into their bank account and how much money is left in their claim. Part of unemployment insurance should be to qualify for a student loan to improve skills to reduce the chances of becoming unemployed again in the future.
Make direct deposit mandatory for unemployment and other benefits like it is in the military.
Make unemployment compensation conditional on having a high school degree or completing a high school degree. Too many unemployed lack the necessary skills to find work in a changing environment.
