More communtiy service/less jail time for nonviolent offenders.

I suggest offenders of nonviolent and less serious crimes are given a choice of massive amounts of community service or a larger sentence/fines. The less people we have in jail means less tax money. The more people we have working on community projects means a healthier community. Basically it’s counterproductive to have someone just sit in a jail cell for selling pot, while they could be heavily engaged in helping ...more »

Create a budget

Create a budget using the amount of money that the state received in the previous year. This way the state knows exactly how much funds it has and it bases the budget on this. If the state recieved less money than what it expected then the state should cut progams. All programs would get the same cut across the board.

Raise the minimum wage

For forty years we have suffered because of "Supply Side Economics" We can see now the folly of that. It is past time to engage in "Demand Side Economics". The best way to jump start an economy is to increase the purchasing power of it's citizenry, particularly in a state that relies heavily on sales taxes to fund essential programs and infrastructure.

Reduce the work day; promote family values

How about reducing the 8 hour work day to 6 hours (and still be fulltime)? Life is short. I would like to see us return to family values by spending more time with our children, spouses and families. Why should the French and Danish have a higher quality of life than us? If we had more time to live (and not just work) we would have more time contribute to the economy.
