Economic Development

Build more libraries

A few years ago, we passed a constitutional amendment to require only a simple majority to pass school levies. Libraries are the education institution that serves everyone in the community, yet library construction levies still take a 60 percent super majority. We should require only a simple majority for new libraries.

Libraries are economic engines and they build better citizens. They are access to the internet for unemployed and poor people so they can access information on jobs, they are free education for everyone.
